During my recent trip home to Cornwall I managed to capture images of an adult Cuckoo and a young fledged Cuckoo at the same site. I had never seen one previously so to take photographs of both birds was quite pleasing. I had visited Bosullow Common in April and heard two Cuckoos so I visited the Common again in June on three occasions and managed to photo these two birds. The first time I saw the adult Cuckoo and whilst I managed several shots I forgot to take my lens hood and several images were quite soft. Ive included two of more acceptable images. I went back a few days later and took several photos of the young Cuckoo which I think had just fledged. It was being fed by its foster parent a Pipit I believe. If I had been more patient I would have captured the young Cuckoo being fed by its parent but a field full of nettles and brambles had taken its toll on my legs so I was happy to leave with the images I had taken.
Well done on the cuckoo photo's Anthony, not an easy subject to find :-)
