I have been photographing a family of Jays that have been visiting my garden this year. Unfortunately about 4 weeks ago I saw one dead in the next road to where I live and thought it may have been the male Jay that used to visit most days. I have since seen both adults with a young Jay in tow so it may have been another juvenile that perished. The bottom two images are of a juvenile Jay that still occasionally visits the garden and manages to avoid our elderly cat who looks quite surprised when it makes an appearance.
Very nice bird and lovely pictures Anthony.
