I took these images of Hoopoes [there were two] early in the morning near Larnaca Airport and very close to the beach during my recent holiday. They had probably come in over night and were roosting in a near by tree before starting to feed on the track beside a field. I was able to get very close using my car as a mobilr hide and may have got some better images if a fitness fanatic on a mountain bike had not scared them off. My closest encounter with Hoopoes yet.
