Marazion Bitterns Come Out On Top

In an earlier post I had commented that I had spent four mornings trying to photograph those Marazion Bitterns on my recent return to Cornwall. Unfortunately I was not able to get any decent images due to a number of factors including poor settings chosen by the Photographer, weather, and the Bitterns not wanting to pose ten feet in front of the camera for me. I have posted a few here which I obtained but they are not as sharp or in focus as I hoped for. Until next time!

Those Marazion Blues

I spent the weekend of the 24th September-26th September in Cornwall staying at my mother's house in Marazion. Whilst the principle objective of the weekend was getting married at Penzance Registry office which was a lovely event, I also took a camera and a long lense with me. As you can see the sun came out for part of the weekend and with a lovely blue sky I managed some images of a Bittern I had observed on the marshes. Not the greatest images I know but I was slightly surprised to see the Bittern on the Marsh so early in the year.I also saw a few Kingfishers on the Marsh but wasn't quick enough to capture any images. I did also manage this distant shot of a Bar Tailed Godwit on the beach.
