Greater Flamingos part 2

Here  are a few more of images of some Greater Flamingos I took in Cyprus recently. These were taken at Orklini marsh and pools near Larnaca airport.

Greater Flamingos

Between the end of October and middle of April is a good time to see and photograph Greater Flamingos in Cyprus. I took these assorted images at Oroklini marsh and the pools near Larnaca airport at about 7am when the sun was just rising. I have to say  I enjoyed my time being quite close to them and listening to the assoprtment of noises they made when they fed.

Greater Flamingos first of 2014

Taken in 2013 overlooking Larnaca these flight shots of Greater Flamingos were taken early in the morning as these birds decided on an early fly past the hide at the sewage works.
