A few more images here from the Red deer rut back in October 2014 in Richmond park. The conditions were great for photography although a high ISO needed to be used until the sun came up.
I spent a few weekend recently observing and photographing the Red Deer rut in Richmond park. These images were taken in early October and the weather was good for taking misty foggy images of Stags in the early morning. There was some brief locking of antlers but on this occasion slightly distant and slightly out of focus. Fast shutter speeds and high ISO was necessary o capture the action.
