Final Images From The Lakes

These are my last images to be published from our recent trip to the Lake District. The images are my favourite photos of an Adult and Juvenile Greater Spotted Woodpecker.Whilst I had taken photos of Greater Spotted Woodpeckers previously the chance to get so close to these birds was an opportunity I couldn't miss. The light was was poor and in fact it was raining when the majority of these photos were taken but the fact that the birds were so close with a natural green background helps with the clarity of the image.
