Grey Herons

I went to Rye Meads Nature Reserve this week and managed to take some more photos of the Kingfisher which I may post at a later date. At the Kingfisher Hide I took some images of a Grey Heron which struck some interesting poses as you can see in the top two photos. The bottom two images were taken at at Marazion Marsh in June 2010.

  1. I like grey herons Anthony, they are not at all common on my patch and I rarely get a chanced to photo them.

  2. Great action shots of the first one and the second one looks very sedate in its classic poses. Good stuff! Looking forward to the kingfishers.

  6. The 2nd shot looks like he's trying to copy the Black Egret pose when they create a shade canopy with their wings before pouncing on their prey.
