I took these images of a Bee eater at Governors Beach near Limassol in Cyprus. I had never seen one before and so these are the first images I have taken of one. I was able to get quite close but it was just unfortunate that the day I saw this bird it was very grey and cloudy so the images do not do justice to the beautiful colours of this bird. I believe September is a very good month for numbers in Cyprus so I do feel lucky to have got this close to one in late October despite the grey day.
They are one in million, I have never seen one either. Beautiful images.
